AUTHOR BIOSarah Hamaker began writing at an early age, "publishing" her first collection of short stories and poems around age ten—two carbon-copied, stapled editions between construction paper. In college, she honed her writing and editing skills at several student newspapers, majoring in communications. After graduating from Evangel College, Sarah edited and wrote for two national trade associations in the Washington, DC, area. She also received her Master of Arts in Literature and Language from Marymount University. Sarah began working from home as a freelance writer and editor when her oldest child was barely two months old. She gradually added more clients and children through the years. Now the mother of four, she divides her time between freelance assignments and working on her fiction and nonfiction books. Her first book is Hired@Home: The Christian Woman’s Guide to Working From Home (DPL Press, June 2008). |
